It’s very true that where women gather in a safe space to share and support, there is huge power. Power for healing, for change, for good.
That truth, combined with my goal of helping to establish strong support networks for mothers inspired me to create my Mothering the Mother sacred circle events.
What is Mothering the Mother?

“Mothering the Mother” is behind my whole ethos. I know that providing new mothers with the most nourishing, healing care - especially in the early stages of motherhood - can have such a profoundly positive effect, not only on the mother, but on the whole family.
Part of this is creating a safe space among other mothers for her to share, learn, and be emotionally held and supported.
This is exactly what my Mothering the Mother circles are designed to provide.
How does it work?
These circles are completely customisable, depending on who is attending and what needs they have.
The most frequent version I offer is designed for new mothers in their first 12 weeks postpartum. This New Mothers Circle workshop runs one morning a week for 4 consecutive weeks.
Numbers for these circles are always kept to less than 12 participants to preserve the safe, supportive space and ensure that real connections can be made.
What to expect:
In this New Mothers Circle, I create a safe space for new mothers to meet, share, and be as vulnerable as they feel they need. The purpose is to help you discover who you are as a mother, and guide you as you connect with your own intuition and confidence as a parent.
We gather in the circle, opening it with a grounding meditation using herbal oils. Next, we talk about anything that’s been going on for you, any aspect of mothering or becoming a mother that you want/need to talk about.
I’ll prepare some postpartum specific snacks and herbal milk tonic and share information about the first 42 days.
You’ll leave feeling supported, grounded, and with the knowledge you need to take beautiful care of yourself in the early weeks.
Just bring yourself and your baby!
Themes: matrescence, first 42 days, Ayurvedic postnatal care
Who attends?
These heart centred circles are hugely beneficial for new mothers, but can also be a great way for mothers of older babies to connect with others, and find some nourishing, grounding time for themselves.
